Become a Japanese Speaker in 4 Months

Each lesson will take less than one hour in VR to complete. There are 40 VR lessons and most people will take between two and six months to complete them all.

Each VR lesson has a short video tutorial in English, outlining the main topics covered in that lesson.

The 360 lessons are completely in Japanese to immerse you in the language. They start with a presentation, where new vocabulary is introduced and you repeat phrases or answer questions using speech recognition to progress.

The presentation is followed by a game, song, or roleplay for further Japanese practice. You then receive a cherry blossom petal to celebrate the completion of each classroom lesson.

After the classroom, you travel to Japan to have conversations with native speakers, using the language you have just learned. After completing all of this you are rewarded with some beautiful scenes from around Japan with cultural commentary, and key Japanese vocabulary to add to your skillset.

We provide non-VR activities in our Library, and recommendations such as mobile apps, podcasts and YouTube videos that are useful for reinforcing your learning in short sessions outside of VR.

Trips are virtual, immersive media explorations of places with narration, quizzes, and music that help you understand the culture and history of the location. They vary in length from 5 to 30 minutes long.

Trips to Britain are narrated adventures around the UK for advanced English speakers, with questions every few minutes about the culture and history you have been discovering.

Trips to Spain are in two different styles: Gallery, and Video Trips. They are suitable for beginner, intermediate, and fluent speakers.

Trip to Japan are currently available in English with optional Japanese keywords or intermediate N3-level Japanese.

We'll be adding new Trips to Spain, Britain and Japan over the end of 2024 and into the first half of 2025. These Trips will be for beginner, intermediate, and fluent speakers.

We're also working on French, German, and Italian Trips for release in the first half of 2025.

Immersive media is a collective term that often describes experiencing 3D, 360 videos and photos using a VR or AR headset.

The time it takes to become fluent varies significantly depending on the language, your ability, and the time you spend learning.

Most people will take many years to reach fluency, but students can reach a good level of conversational ability in a surprisingly short space of time.

The Japanese lessons will take between two and six months to complete. After this, you will be able to have basic conversations with people on a variety of topics, building relationships and enhancing any visits to Japan.

The Japanese and English content was shot in 8K3D. Currently the app supports up to 6K3D video (Quest 2 maximum) with photos in 8K3D.

Spanish content is available in 4K and 6K monoscopic video and photos.

We offer monthly and annual subscriptions. With the annual subscriptions, you get 12 months for the price of 10.

Dynamic Languages is like a VR Netflix for language learning and cultural understanding. We expect students to subscribe for a few months, blast through the content they want to experience, and then unsubscribe.

In this way, the 40 Japanese lessons will be completed at a cost of $50-$250, which is a fantastic deal for the quality of instruction. Other online Japanese courses, university/college programmes, and private lessons will cost 10-1000x the cost of Dynamic Languages.

Dynamic Languages is for people wanting to learn a skill and better themselves. Yes, we've made it fun and entertaining but it is still an educational endeavour. It is best compared to a university class rather than a free mobile app with ads.

We do not offer a lifetime subscription. Hosting high quality 8K3D video is costly so we use a subscription model so that current students are paying for the bandwidth they are using.

Dynamic Spanish first launched in 2018 and is the predecessor to Dynamic Languages. It was our first attempt at building compelling experiences and we have learned a lot since then, especially when it comes to video production quality.
